Enter the world of kayaking thinking safety first! What better way than to spend it on the Salish Sea in the Southern Gulf Islands of BC!

This one day beginner course is suitable for those who have never kayaked and feel like they could become passionate about freedom of movement on any lake or ocean!

 

This Paddle Canada sanctioned sea kayak skills course involves an introduction to various topics, including but not limited to:

 

Correct Paddling Technique

Assisted Re-Entry Techniques

Controlled Wet Exit

Kayak Parts/Styles and Safety Gear

Navigation

Weather

Tides & Currents

Journeying

Injury Prevention

Cost is $160 + GST for the course and certification, plus $50 kayak and safety gear rental option (wetsuit included).  Drysuits are available for rent for $50.
